By downloading, installing, or using the Sistr mobile application (“Sistr”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Sistr.
Sistr is intended for adults. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). The app is not directed at children under 9.
We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable, and non-exclusive license to use Sistr for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted remain with us and our licensors.
Sistr offers retold Bible stories, daily affirmations, verses, devotionals, a reading path, reminders and widgets written for women. Stories are written on request by third-party AI providers, illustrated and narrated by automated services, and shaped by the name, age, seasons of life and preferences you set. They are devotional retellings, not translations of Scripture, and may contain imaginative detail. Verses quoted in the app come from the World English Bible, a public domain translation. Sistr is not a substitute for pastoral care, counselling, or medical advice.
Name, Date of Birth, Seasons and Preferences. During setup and in Settings you may give a first name, a date of birth, the seasons of life you are in, a narrator voice and a story length so the app can personalize generated content. You retain all rights to these choices. They are stored only on the device; please see our Privacy Policy for the full details of what is sent to our AI providers when a story is written.
Generated Stories. Stories, illustrations and narration generated for you are produced by third-party AI providers in response to the preferences you set. We grant you a limited license to read, listen to and personally share these stories for personal, non-commercial use.
Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the name and any other text you enter, and you agree not to enter content that is offensive, infringing, or otherwise unlawful.
Subscriptions. Sistr offers optional Premium subscription plans that unlock story generation with illustrations and narration and every devotional.
In-App Purchases. Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple handles all payments, taxes, billing and refunds under its policies.
Renewal & Cancellation. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings, or from within the app at Settings → Subscription.
Restore. Purchases made with your Apple account can be restored from Settings → Restore Purchases.

All content in the Sistr app (logos, code, UI, designs, biblical retellings, affirmations, devotionals, illustrations, voices, text, and graphics) belongs to Sistr or its licensors. You may not use them for commercial purposes without permission. The World English Bible text is in the public domain. Any feedback or suggestions you provide can be used freely by us without compensation.
Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect data. It forms part of these Terms.
Sistr is provided “as is” and “as available”. Generated stories are produced by AI based on your inputs and biblical references; the app is intended as a supplemental devotional experience and is not a substitute for direct study of Scripture, for pastoral care, or for professional advice. We do not guarantee that any particular story will meet your expectations or theological preferences, nor that generated content is free of errors. We are not responsible for content loss or damage.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sistr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed 50 EUR.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sistr, its affiliates, and staff from any claims or damages arising out of your use of the app or violation of these Terms.
By You. You may stop using Sistr at any time by deleting the app, and you may delete everything the app keeps about you from Settings → Delete my data.
By Us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.
Effect. Certain clauses (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Liability) will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. You agree to resolve any disputes through the courts of Turkey, unless local consumer protection laws offer you additional rights.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Sistr after the effective date means you accept the changes.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Sistr. If any part is found invalid, the rest remains enforceable. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission.
